Obama | Radicalism and Socialism 101

Watching FoxNews this morning, there was a live feed from the McCain/Palin stump stop in Wisconsin. A man in the crowd was passed the mic, stood up, and said he didn't care about the economy, he was angry! Angry at Obama, Pelosi, and Reed; the Socialists that are taking over our government.

I agree with this man! The economy is not my top issue at all! Just as home prices have been slowly and steadily inflated artificially, so, too, has Wall Street's stocks. Completely artificial. No matter how much money the government throws into the bailout, somehow, it will eventually correct itself. But the government (Congress) needs to immediately STOP! throwing good money after bad in the bailout. If we have some period of difficulty in our personal lives, we'll find a way to deal with it. It will correct itself.

The bailout never should have happened. The majority of the American people said "No!" but Congress ignored the voice of the American public they are supposed to be representing, and did what was in their personal interest (the pork added to an asinine bill).

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Barack Obama, and the vast majority of Congressional Democrats are directly and verifiably responsible for this mess that has brought financial crisis to the entire globe!

For Bush to bend to Hank Paulson's insane demand for an immediate (within 24 hours) $700 billion was ludicrous! Ludicrous! It happened far too quickly (within three weeks) and without proper review. A completely ad hoc plan which is being cobbled together as we go along, more and more money being thrown into this ridiculous plan even before the previous money has had an opportunity to work. The inmates are running the asylum!

Barack Obama even had the audacity to slip into the bailout bill, when no one was looking, a little bit of pork specifically for ACORN, 20 percent of the total $700 billion ($140,000,000,000). A quick-thinking Republican nixed it. Why isn't anyone speaking about THAT!

This bailout is the duct tape around a leaky pipe. It's not going to hold and the water will continue to drip. The drip is the corruption and greed that has been rearing its ugly head, without fear, among the Democrats in our government.

What is important to me is that Obama be exposed for the radical socialist he is! That every one of his radical relationships is exposed and explained, in detail, to the American public. Do a damn PowerPoint presentation if that's what it takes. Lay it all out, item-by-item, provide the back-up, provide the proof, and connect the dots that explain who Obama is and precisely why he is so dangerous!

Explain how and why Obama and his cohorts in Congress are directly responsible for the financial fallout that has affected the entire world economy via ACORN, one of the most leftist and radical organizations for whom Obama trained voter registration workers and lawyered to put pressure on banks, threatening financial stops and business blockages if they did not go along with ACORN's plans.

Explain how Ayers and Obama opened schools specializing in the "radicalization" of children, how Obama was in charge of doling out the funds to create and maintain these schools for young children (K-12) of brainwashing and indoctrination into the socialist mindset, Ayers actually calling it the "radicalization" of America's youth. Explain how Obama supports that ideology he shares with Ayers. The boot camps Obama and his wife are creating are another area that needs investigation.

Obama, is was proven yesterday, was a card-carrying Socialist. After reading the in-depth and very-well-sourced article, I dug a little deeper.

Turns out Obama's political platform is woven with the threads of the Chicago Democratic Socialists:

We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships.

A democratic socialist politics for the 21st century must promote an international solidarity dedicated to raising living standards across the globe, rather than "leveling down" in the name of maximizing profits and economic efficiency. Equality, solidarity, and democracy can only be achieved through international political and social cooperation aimed at ensuring that economic institutions benefit all people. Democratic socialists are dedicated to building truly international social movements - of unionists, environmentalists, feminists, and people of color - that together can elevate global justice over brutalizing global competition.

In the United States, we must fight for humane public policies that will provide quality health care, education, and job training and that redirect public investment from the military to much-neglected urban housing and infrastructure. Such policies require the support of a majoritarian coalition of trade unionists, people of color, feminists, gays and lesbians and all other peoples committed to democratic change. Our greatest contribution as American socialists to global social justice is to build that coalition, which is key to transforming the power relations of global capitalism.

Social redistribution - the shift of wealth and resources from the rich to the rest of society - will require:

1. massive redistribution of income from corporations and the wealthy to wage earners and the poor and the public sector, in order to provide the main source of new funds for social programs, income maintenance and infrastructure rehabilitation, and

2. a massive shift of public resources from the military (the main user of existing discretionary funds) to civilian uses.

Although such reforms will be very difficult to achieve on a national scale in the short term, their urgency increases as income inequality intensifies. Over time, income redistribution and social programs will be critical not only to the poor but to the great majority of working people. The defense and expansion of government programs that promote social justice, equal education for all children, universal health care, environmental protection and guaranteed minimum income and social well-being is critical for the next Left.

At the same time, the military Keynesianism that has dominated federal expenditures, constricting the capacity of governments at all levels to respond adequately to social needs, must end. Much of the current distortion in government spending and taxation has its roots in the massive military and national security build-up in the 1980s, combined with the massive tax cuts for the wealthy. The great run-up in national debt is due directly to military-led deficit financing. Reduced military expenditures and more equitable taxation represent the only sources of funds on the scale needed to provide the social programs required to ameliorate declining living standards.

Together, economic democracy, global justice, and social redistribution are the linchpins of abroad-based anti-corporate left, that is international in character and local in its reliance on popular control of economic resources and decision-making.

The Truth About Conservative Christians: What They Think and What They Believe by Andrew Greeley and Michael Hout

With respect to politics, the authors demonstrate that conservative Christians do vote more conservatively, but not nearly so much as one might expect: class and especially race matter more. A majority of working class conservative Christians vote Democratic though not as much as other working class populations. But if biblical literalism reduces the Democratic vote among whites, exactly the opposite is true among Blacks: "Bible Christians in Afro-American denominations are even more likely to vote Democratic than are other African Americans"

The authors' conclusions boil down to the following political advice to Democrats on the conservative Christian vote:

"1. Try to arrange that you don't have to run against an incumbent who has managed to portray himself as a wartime president.

"2. Try not to lose your gender gap advantage because your own candidate cannot present a credible national security strategy.

"3. Try to remember that poor and working class conservative Christians share attitudes on equality that are closer to yours than you realize and vote your way when you give them cause to.

"4. Try to understand that Catholics lean your way, that they do not vote as their bishops tell them to do, and that they are more likely to vote Democratic than others who hold the same views ­ whether we are talking about the economic agenda, the social agenda, or the military agenda. Call it loyalty. They like that."

The first two points are really different aspects of a single thing: what is the individual's relation to society and how does one find security among one's fellows. This is not examined in this book. It's a major omission as the advice above implies that the candidate must credibly promise both guns and butter. It also has implications about what policies would be perceived as "credible."

About Obama's plan for people with disabilities; while most of us immediately think of a disability as something confining one to a wheelchair, we often forget this group of individuals also includes those with mental and emotional disabilities (drug addicts, sex offenders). While Obama (and Biden) drum up this plan to look as though it's all about war veterans (and a portion is), the remainder is about ensuring those with all forms of disabilities are housed within the communities of America to mingle among the children in suburbia.

Obama's mortgage plan is hilarious. Barack Obama, via his close association and involvement with ACORN, is directly responsible for this economic meltdown and is the reason there is mortgage fraud! Obama, and his close personal friends on the boards of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Raines and Johnson, are the ones that manufactured the fraud for their personal gain!

Remember, Obama's education plan is pushing for kindergartners to be taught sex education, specifically, how the act is performed and the diseases resulting from unprotected sex. Kindergartners? Obama lied when he said he voted for the bill because it stressed "inappropriate touching". Untrue. The only inappropriate touching the bill discussed was of children touching other children.

Obama's Education Reform Plan was established to ensure children, during their early school years, are "radicalized". This is an idea Obama fully and completely supported while funding and working closely with William Ayers' "re-education plan" in creating new school wherein children will be taught to be activists. This is also evident due to Obama's allegiance to The Black Value System and the teachings of Black Liberation Theology which state the takeover of the education system is the way to condition the young minds of America into the molds these radicals have been creating for them. The schools of Oregon have been undergoing radicalization for some time, Black Liberation Theologists controlling the boards that decide which "revised" textbooks are used in the classrooms.

Obama is so beholden to the environmentalists, his plan is ludicrous. Obama was peeved the price of gasoline went up so fast, believing the rise in price should have been more gradual, an important lesson to "teach us a lesson" in conservation and alternate energy. Obama did not support new drilling in any fashion whatsoever until America began chanting "Drill, Baby, Drill!", and even after America's outcry, Obama still had difficulty even uttering the word "drill." Obama is pushing for huge spending to develop and manufacture hybrid cars that most Americans will not even be able to afford to purchase because of the state of today's (and foreseeable future) state of the economy. Like his mandated health care plan, will Obama mandate the impossible purchase of these vehicles, fining anyone that does not buy one (can't get a loan these days, no matter how good your credit is)? I'm betting he will.

Obama on ethics is laughable. Given that Obama's career has been devoted to undermining American democracy with the deliberate and calculated targeting of our economic system (via ACORN pressure on American banks), bringing it to ruin to establish a "new base" of hobble-minded citizenry that will respond to Obama's (and the Democrats') outrageous cries of radicalism, unwittingly enslaving themselves to a hoped-for government-run society (Socialism) should Obama win, Obama has very little room to speak about ethics.
