Child Porn | ACLU | Media Doesn't Matter

Well! This has been quite a week for child porn enthusiasts. You'd never know it, though. The MSM is not reporting these stories. Again.

The man that enjoyed watching his porn via the PC in his ten-year-old son's darkened bedroom late at night, Charles Rust-Tierney, also the former President of the Virginia Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), a discerning purveyor of specialized child porn containing, specifically, the brutal torture and rape of very young girls, usually under the age of seven, is expected to plead guilty to the charges made against him when he was arrested.

From The North Country Gazette:

He has been in jail since his arrest in February, denied bail by two judges. Among the pornography allegedly in his possession was a six-minute video set to music by the rock band Nine Inch Nails that prosecutors described as “a compilation of some of the worst child torture and rape scenes” that police said they had ever seen.

As an ACLU executive, Rust-Tierney had lobbied against restricting Internet access in public libraries, taking the position that “recognizing that individuals will continue to behave responsibly and appropriately while in the library, the default should be maximum, unrestricted access to the valuable resources of the Internet”. Rust Tierney, active as a coach of youth sports teams in Arlington, said that “parents should have primary responsibility for setting rules for their children regarding Internet access. Older minors should have access to resources appropriate for their age group, even if such materials may be considered by some parents to be unsuitable for younger minors”.

According to court records, “Charles Rust-Tierney, who had been working in the D.C. public defender’s office, has subscribed to multiple child pornography websites over a period of years”. Prosecutors said that he spent nearly $1,000 between March 2005 and October 2006 on child pornography downloaded from the Internet.

The ACLU purports to fight for First Amendment rights, to end discrimination and the death penalty. While Rust-Tierney was advocating for unrestricted Internet access, at the same time he was allegedly indulging himself in child pornography websites.

And, in other kiddie porn news also involving a member of the higher-up ACLU...

Found at Maggie's Notebook...

The 16-year President of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Nadine Strossen, appears to continue to retain convicted felon Steven C. Cunningham as her Chief Aide.

Some background: Steven C. Cunningham was convicted of the murky charge of Child Endangerment in the State of New Jersey. What is child endangerment? Did he fail to buckle a child's seatbelt? Did he leave a small child at home, unattended? Did he go shopping with a child and let the child wander away? Did he allow a child to assault another child - endangering the assaulted? Did he let a child play with a medicine bottle?

No, that's not what he did. He had three online chats with a boy that he believed was 12 years old, but was actually a police officer. According to charges filed, the phone calls were lewdly graphic and he attempted to meet "the child" somewhere. Cunningham was permanently disbarred in the State of New Jersey, but it appears that he is still licensed to practice in the State of New York and continues in the position of Chief Aide to ACLU President Nadine Strossen.

Since Strossen's office will not confirm or deny Cunningham's important position as her Chief Aide, why do I think he is still, indeed, with the ACLU? Here's why: A search of New York State Unified Court System eCourts site confirms that Steven Christie Cunningham is licensed to practice in New York. Is Steven Christie Cunningham the same convicted Steven C. Cunningham? I think so. After this morning's "no comment" from Strossen's office, I called the phone number for Steven Christie Cunningham given on eCourts website. That call was answered by the New York Law School voicemail. When I selected Cunningham's name from the list offered, the call was answered by Nadine Strossen's office - the same young man who took my first call this a.m. and refused comment.

So much for the ACLU's interest in your civil liberties or mine...our right to know if a man convicted of child endangerment is an integral part of the ACLU daily operations.

It'll be the same ol' story all over again. No MSM coverage - at all. Ever. The Left and the Leftist MSM is forbidden to rake ne'er-do-well Leftists over the coals. Will not happen. No finger pointing at a Lefty. It must be blamed on a Conservative. A Conservative must be found at fault for the bad decisions of Leftists.

Rust-Tierney is looking at a total of twenty-eight years in jail, on the far side of the figure. Three months, give or take, of that sentence has already been served. How much time, if any, will Rust-Tierney serve? Will the lack of media attention have any impact on his sentencing? Two judges did deny him bail because of the dangerous and inhuman content of his preferred porn genre. Will the court remember that Rust-Tierney’s money was used to buy more children to feed his unspeakable needs? That Rust-Tierney directly contributed to the endangerment of children?

(Borrowing from Rust-Tierney): I always recognized that individuals will continue to behave responsibly and appropriately while in the position of President of the Virginia Chapter of the ACLU. I was wrong. Now, as penalty for his illegal and dangerous behavior and for abusing my trust in his ability to perform his job with the best of intentions and always in good faith, being paid by my tax dollar, the default should be maximum, unrestricted access to the valuable resources of the United States Federal Prison system as an inmate for the full twenty-eight years, adding back on the three months already served.

No doubt the ACLU will be representing him, en force, pro bono.

And, there is something very, very wrong in the mental make-up of ACLU President Nadine Strossen.

The retention of Steven C. Cunningham, a child predator, as her Chief Aide, demonstrates an egregious disregard for children and society. To blatantly hold this man up as a symbolic "trophy" of the ACLU's commitment to the protection of rights (by his retention) is disgusting and a pathetic display of what the Left deems “acceptable” behavior. This man wanted to engage in sexual relations with a young boy. He pursued that fantasy to its fruition into reality. Sex with a young boy.

The Left believes he has every right to engage in sexual activities with a young boy. That is what the Left and the ACLU is protecting. The Left and the ACLU believe THAT is the right that has been violated. No other.

Fifty years ago Nadine Strossen would have been run out of town on a rail and Steven C. Cunningham would never be able to show his face in public again. And rightly so. Nowadays; the corrupt, depraved, and degenerate top the invitation lists to cocktail parties of Hollywood, the chic, and the elite. It's all the rage, don't you know!

Well, I am enraged. When did child pornography become so “normalized” within the mindset of the legal community of our Country? Since when is that kind of behavior protected? Ardently? When did it become a taboo secret shared between the members of the ACLU, their whole machine spinning into gear, for years, all over the country and internationally, so these men (and how many more among them) could continue to indulge in their dangerous, degenerate personal predilections?
