Remembering September 11th | FNC and NBC

This morning, Fox News Channel and MSNBC both presented retrospectives of that day's horrifying events. From just before the first plane hit the first tower until after Shanksville PA.

Striking differences in reporting.

Fox News reporter, Eric Shawn, on the street in Manhattan and giving a moment-by-moment commentary, upon seeing the second plane hit, knowing it was a deliberate act, and then asked from the studio who could be responsible, without hesitation, said, "Osama bin Laden."

NBC News, the Today Show, with Katie Couric and Matt Lauer, firstly, didn't even know a plane had hit the first tower, they thought it was an explosion. After the second plane hit, they thought, again, it was an explosion (bomb) even though the video plainly showed a plane flying into the second tower.

Fox News was direct, accurate, and already giving out information about Osama bin Laden and his terrorist organization, NBC couldn't decide what had struck the towers.

That was the day I started watching Fox News exclusively, the switching back and forth between channels that horrible morning, NBC was too far behind the curve, too slow to respond, too uninformed, and was reporting conjecture and wild opinion instead of reliable information about what was happening.

Remembering today all those people that lost their lives due to Islamic terrorism and remembering their families and friends that have been left behind.

Remembering, too, all the fine men and women of our country fighting now in theaters around the world to keep us safe at home while protecting those innocents within the countries they serve.

Wishing Track Palin, the son of Governor Sarah Palin and Todd Palin, as he deploys today, volunteering to put himself in harm's way in defense of his country and people, a successful tour while serving his country in Iraq and safe and speedy return home.
