The White House is Open for Questions
The White House is open for questions.
We invite you to participate in our community-moderated online town hall. Submit your own question about the economy and vote on submissions from others. We also encourage you to include a link to a video of yourself asking your question (ideally 30 seconds or less), but text submissions are all you need. Come back on Thursday to watch the President answer some of the most popular submissions live at WhiteHouse.gov.
UPDATE: The online town hall will be at 11:30 AM Eastern, the voting will close at 9:30 AM.
Cute. The White House (website) has created yet another busy box so the American public will feel as if their opinions actually mattered to this poseur president.
Based on Obama's past performances, the questions he will answer have already been written by his team of poorly performing public relations people and the answers have already been scripted.
Only a liberal would fall for this and, based on some of the questions submitted, they're all looking for handouts.
Examples from those questions flagged, by other questioners, as important or worthy:
"For students graduating from college and graduate school, many of us have obscene amounts of debt. Do you have any plans to help alleviate some of that debt, given the current state of the job market?"
Am, Chicago, IL"As a college student, I am very concerned about the cost of tuition and the interest of student loans. What is going to be done to make getting a higher education easier for those of us who have to pay our own way through college?"
K Davey, Ottumwa, IA"Teachers' salaries are being capped at astonishingly low points around the country. Teachers love what they do but cannot live anymore on these salaries. What are you doing to better the lives of teacher's and the lives of those they touch?!"
Rose, Tallahassee, FL"We have been focusing a lot on relief for homeowners, many of whom knowingly overextended themselves. But, what about relief for students who are having trouble paying back tuition loans?"
Chris, San Francisco, CA"When I graduate, my student loan payments will be more than my car payment and rent together. What can you do to help me, and the thousands of Americans like me, afford a home for my family while I pay off my existing student debt?"
AdamB, South Bend, IL
And they go on and on and on and on.
As of this moment, only 65,508 people have submitted 70,263 questions and cast 2,675,515 votes. That's a meager turnout for Obamaniacs. But, granted, Obama made no public announcement regarding this on-line townhall, didn't even bother to mention it at his dismal presser last night. Says to me he's really not interested in hearing from or about the American public.

The White House is Open for Questions - Transcript
I found it interesting that Obama said he looks to Congress for the answers to these difficult questions - not the American people. So, what was the point of the White House being open for questions? More busy work meant to appease the American psyche and only an hour out of his day wasted by them.
